Each month, MANNA (Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance) brings more than 70,000 nutritious, freshly prepared, home-delivered meals to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS, cancer or other life-threatening illness. MANNA's small professional staff and 1,500 dedicated volunteers prepare and deliver 100% complete nutrition to our clients - 3 meals a day, 7 days a week - at no charge. February is American Heart Month
Sign up for a free nutrition class at MANNA about the many health benefits of beans (also called legumes or pulses). Cooking, shopping and health tips will be provided as well as yummy samples!
Participants in this class who have a life-threatening illness will receive a voucher for 7 free frozen entrees. It can be redeemed immediately after the class, or when it is convenient to return for them. Class will be held February 24, 2010 from noon to 1 PM.

This year's performance is on Saturday, March 20, 2010. A ticket purchase to Shut Up & Dance will provide more than 20 meals for a MANNA client.
In 1993, dancers at the Pennsylvania Ballet were wondering what they could do to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. They realized the best thing they could do was Shut Up & Dance. Every year since, the dancers have partnered with MANNA in presenting this spectacular one-night-only performance.
