MANNA Appoints Dr. Kevin Hancock to Board of Directors
MANNA is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Kevin Hancock to its Board of Directors. A nationally recognized leader in Medicaid, long-term services and supports (LTSS), aging policy, and healthcare transformation, Hancock brings more than three decades of experience in public service, strategic planning, and healthcare program leadership.
As founder of Kevin Hancock Consulting LLC, Hancock advises organizations on Medicaid policy, LTSS, strategic planning, and program evaluation. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held numerous executive leadership positions within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including Special Advisor to the Secretary of Aging and Deputy Secretary of the Office of Long-Term Living within the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
As Deputy Secretary, Hancock oversaw Pennsylvania’s Medicaid long-term care programs serving approximately 420,000 individuals statewide and managed a budget exceeding $7 billion. He also led the implementation of Pennsylvania’s groundbreaking Community HealthChoices program, a Medicaid-funded managed long-term services and supports initiative that transformed care delivery for older adults and individuals with disabilities across the Commonwealth.
“Kevin’s extensive experience in Medicaid, aging services, and healthcare policy makes him an extraordinary addition to MANNA’s Board of Directors,” said Sue Daugherty, RDN, LDN, CEO of MANNA. “His leadership in developing innovative programs that improve quality of life for vulnerable populations aligns closely with MANNA’s mission. As we continue expanding access to medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling, Kevin’s expertise will help strengthen our impact and advance Food is Medicine initiatives throughout Pennsylvania.”
Most recently, Hancock served as Special Advisor to the Pennsylvania Secretary of Aging, where he led the development of Aging Our Way, PA, the Commonwealth’s comprehensive 10-year strategic plan designed to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life of older adults.
“Throughout my career, I’ve seen firsthand how social and environmental factors influence health outcomes,” said Hancock. “MANNA’s work demonstrates the powerful role nutrition can play in improving health, reducing healthcare utilization, and helping individuals remain healthy and independent in their communities. I’m honored to join the Board and support the organization’s continued growth and innovation.”
MANNA recently celebrated the delivery of its 25 millionth medically tailored meal, marking more than 36 years of providing evidence-based nutrition interventions to individuals living with serious illnesses. As the only Pennsylvania provider accredited by the Food is Medicine Coalition, MANNA continues to lead efforts to integrate nutrition care into healthcare systems and improve outcomes for those most in need.
