Health outcomes reported by healthcare providers and clients of a community-based medically tailored meal program
The MANNA Institute conducted first-of-its-kind research on outcomes of MANNA’s medically tailored meals program. The study demonstrated that clients treated with home-delivered, medically tailored meals (MTMs) achieve a significant decrease in malnutrition risk and meaningful changes in other factors that positively impact management of diseases, including diabetes and hypertension. Five-a-Day: Medically Tailored Meal Program Supports Intake of Recommended Fruit and Vegetable Servings

The MANNA Institute partnered with Drexel University to assess MANNA clients’ intake of fruits and vegetables. Overall, clients are meeting recommendations to eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Read the full abstract published in the Journal of Nutrition Education and Behavior here.
Client Satisfaction Survey
Read MANNA’s 2021 client satisfaction report to learn more about MANNA’s impact on client’s health, nutrition knowledge, and dietary behaviors. Overall MANNA’s clients report high satisfaction with the quality of the program and how it improves their ability to manage their health. As one client shared, “…I have MANNA to thank for helping my pressure injury heal completely while changing my old eating habits. The freshly prepared food is so delicious and I know it was made with loving kindness.”
